The Volunteer Treasurer is responsible for maintaining adequate financial records and managing the process for recording all incoming and outgoing financial transactions of the Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse Society. The job includes preparing monthly financial statements for the board of Trustees and compiling an annual report for the society based on the fiscal year. The Treasurer oversees all deposits with the Society's financial institution and provides financial oversight for all special activities-fundraising activities, grant applications, and restricted accounts.
The Treasurer also arranges to have the financial books, records, and transactions of the Society annually reviewed by certified public accountants.
