Each year, we rake, weed, and mulch The Remember Garden in Highland Park, located near the War Memorial at the corners of South Ave, and Highland Drive.
At this location, over 800 adults and children are buried in a mass unmarked grave. In 2008 a group of volunteers, raised money thru grass roots efforts to honor those buried there, who had lived in the almshouse, penitentiary, and insane asylum.
We arrive rain or shine, on the day before the opening of the Lilac Festival at 9AM.
Please bring gloves, buckets, rakes, wheelbarrows to weed, and move mulch.
We will provide Pizza and water.
We usually finish by noon.
