In honor of 9/11, AmeriCorps Seniors is encouraging their programs across the nation to host a community service activity. Through feedback from the members of the Soldier & Family Readiness Group (SFRG), we learned that although supplies are frequently donated, many times the recipients of these supplies lack bags/backpacks to put them in. Therefore, the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program at Lifespan will be hosting a backpack drive Monday, September 11th.
If you are curious, here are the current SFRG units stationed at the National Guard Station on Patriot Way.
