Job Title: Kitchen Volunteer

Location: 285 Ormond St
Hours Needed: Available hours will be scheduled Monday-Sunday for the following shifts; Breakfast: 8:00am-10:00am, Lunch 10:00am-1:00pm, Dinner: 3:00pm-6:00pm.
Minimum hours /week-2 and maximum hours/week-56. All Volunteer shifts are approved through Mission Tracker by the Volunteer Coordinator. Kitchen Volunteer will report to Terrance Gibson, Kitchen Manager.
Functions: Assist the cook and/or site supervisor with all food preparation for breakfast, lunch, & dinner and help with serving based upon need. This includes assisting with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning within the kitchen. Closed toed shoes and a shirt with sleeves are required to be worn, along with hair nets, gloves, and an apron (provided).
Requirements: Must be able to follow directions closely and work well as a team. Must be comfortable working within a homeless shelter and be able to communicate with individuals with diverse backgrounds and possible barriers.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift >10 pounds and be able to stand for the entirety of shift.
