Shepherd Home is a two-bedroom comfort care home in Penfield, NY. We care for 2 people at a time who are diagnosed with a terminal illness, and have a prognosis of 3 months or less. We provide compassionate care for those experiencing terminal illness, and their families. We also provide community support and education regarding end of life services.
Shepherd Home would love to have a team of volunteers for the annual Day of Caring to help with our spring yard clean up and gardening. Volunteers will assist with trimming, raking, mulching and planting our gardens- which are the very first thing that residents and families see when entering Shepherd Home. Our gardens allow a peaceful place of respite for all that come to Shepherd Home and contribute to the overall comfort that is provided to those experiencing terminal illness.
Shepherd Home will provide lunch to the team of volunteers who donate their time to help make our ground beautiful.
