Interested in learning more about the actions being taken to address climate change right here in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region? Get started volunteering with the Climate Solutions Accelerator and help mobilize community members with various outreach tactics:
- Tabling at local events (including the Rochester Public Market, volunteer fairs at nearby colleges, etc.);
- Planning/facilitating public meetings/forums to introduce or discuss local opportunities for climate action;
- Distributing surveys/assisting with focus groups to understand community perspectives on climate change and various climate solutions, opinions on existing climate action initiatives, and ideas for future community-based climate strategies;
- Door-to-door canvassing and other public engagement efforts to help spread the word about existing government and community programs, as well as ways to get involved.
