One of the housing options the YWCA offers is treatment program for women recovering from substance disorder. We provide apartments for women and their children. We do not separate families which makes us unique in New York state. Our Stepping Stones program has a stellar reputation, and we have helped countless families on the road to recovery.
We provide all the apartments with essential goods, including pots and pans, flatware, sheets, towels, etc. We like to keep all the items provided in the individual apartments uniform, and we find the best deals at Wal-Mart, so we are requesting Wal-Mart gift cards to be used specifically for this program. The YWCA is required to provide these essential goods to our residents, but the funding sources are drying up! Perhaps you would like to do this as a group fundraiser? Or a competition?
