Event Volunteer – Back to School Community Bash

Join Inspiring Forces II for our annual "Back to School Community Bash" on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Troup Street Playground! This high-energy community event is designed to equip local students with the essential supplies, backpacks, and resources they need to start the new school year confident and ready to succeed. We need an enthusiastic team of volunteers to help us bring this celebration to life. Volunteers will assist with setting up the playground space, greeting families, managing supply distribution stations, running youth activities/games, and cleaning up post-event. This is a fun, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding opportunity perfect for individuals, civic groups, or corporate teams looking to make a direct impact on Rochester families!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with event setup (tents, tables, organizing backpacks and school supplies).

• Greet local families, manage registration/check-in, and provide directional support.

• Distribute backpacks and school supplies efficiently at designated stations.

• Oversee fun youth recreational games and activity areas on the playground.

• Help break down equipment and ensure the playground area is left clean.

Requirements:

• Age 16 or older (Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

• Ability to stand, walk, and assist outdoors for a 3-4 hour shift.
