Volunteers are critical to Foodlink's mission to end hunger and build healthier communities. For Day of Caring 2025, we are currently looking for volunteers to assist with cleaning tasks in our Distribution Center and around our Foodlink grounds. Volunteer tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Dusting/Cleaning food racking, guardrails, apple line and other ledges in the warehouse
- Sweeping and moping around machinery/equipment and coolers
- Painting safety lines throughout the warehouse
- Outside Spring Cleaning around the Foodlink building
- Mulching and landscaping
Physical Intensity: Volunteer tasks are considered high in physical intensity. Projects will include frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 25-50lbs.
What to bring/wear: Your Energy! Volunteers are also required closed-toed shoes. It is also encouraged that you wear weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and specifically, items you do not mind getting dirty. Water bottles and lunch will be provided.
