Who We Are
WXXI Education: Delivers educational services to the community through educational programming, Ready To Learn, public media resources to preK-12, adult education and out of school learning organizations, schools of education and higher education, on-demand educational video, online resources, social media offerings for parents and educators, informal family learning events, youth media film festival, in-person outreach initiatives and local educational productions. Professional development offerings include training workshops for educators, caregivers and parents offered by WXXI education staff.
What We Do
WXXI Kids is our family-facing community engagement efforts. We bring PBS KIDS series to life in the region by partnering with organizations like libraries, parks, museums, child care centers, schools, and other nonprofits to engage children, families, and their grownups. We create safe, fun, learning-driving experiences that connect to PBS KIDS series (such as Daniel Tiger, Wild Kratts, etc.). We work closely with partners and families to create experiences to engage all families, but especially those families in high need areas.
