Who We Are
Terra Science and Education is dedicated to developing innovative young minds through project-based learning.
What We Do
Terra Science and Education was founded in 2011 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, envisioning a world in which all children and adults celebrate their shared humanity and seek the realization of each person’s potential. As we strive toward this future with a focus on STEM, Terra works tirelessly to meet the educational needs of the under-served and under-represented, including women in STEM, offering tools and support for students, their teachers, and advocates to establish justice and equality.
Our services include: educational programming open to both local public and private schools; GENIUS Olympiad, which brings high school students from around the globe to a college campus to solve environmental problems; Invention Convention New York State; Terra STEM Fairs network of seven regional fairs in NY and NJ; capacity building grants for schools in NY State; three peer-reviewed journals including The International Journal of High School Research; and a week-long residential hands on marine biology experience for all educators and students around the world in Sal Salvador, Bahamas.
