Begin Again Horse Rescue

We are a grassroots group of knowledgeable horse people dedicated to keeping as many at-risk horses from going to slaughter and in helping our local horse owners to find rehoming solutions for their horses.  We are almost all volunteers and look to offer more volunteers fun interactions while working with us. We like to introduce our resident horses to volunteers and share their stories to help in understanding the horse rescue world. Spring typically brings projects such as clearing our new Tack shop lawns and barn grounds of winter debris, repairs inside and outside the barn/shop, paddock clearing of rocks, sticks, manure, possible painting, garden projects, tack, pails and corner feeders cleaning. All this work helps to keep our location looking professional and our organization functioning smoothly. There always seems to be laughter involved in our volunteer groups, we hope you will join us. We enjoy setting up opportunities for volunteers to help improve the lives of the horses as well as their own. 

We help at-risk horses to recover from their ordeals through rehabilitation and adoption to approved homes. We could not function as well as we do without our volunteers.

We also provide a setting for those needing to do public service or require volunteering.  We are very successful because of our volunteer help.
