Who We Are
Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center seeks to improve community health by providing access to mental health care for adults and youth who are uninsured or underinsured by recruiting and supporting a team of volunteer, licensed clinicians.
What We Do
Provide mental health care to persons who are under- and uninsured. During this crisis, all sessions are conducted via telehealth. Once we are allowed to open back up, we will resume our usual services: • Psychotherapy – to treat mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and to combat the effects of trauma, abuse, social isolation, and poverty • Family therapy – to resolve problems and address complications in life cycle developments • Psychiatric collaboration/referral – to connect clients with area prescribers of psychotropic medications and to collaborate as needed to ensure they receive the best care possible; to fund consultations for clients in need of medication who are unable to afford care • Case management/advocacy – to assist in obtaining health care, housing, expanding circle of support, writing resumés, budgeting, and needed financial, vocational, and educational assistance • Peer support meetings – to support individuals struggling with mental illness, poverty, abuse, crime, loss, and other issues
