Who We Are

Project Stork, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization serving 200 + monthly participants in the area of basic human needs of infants and toddlers, while positively impacting the maternal mental health and wellness of either the prenatal or postpartum parent.  Project Stork, Inc. provides a strength-based approach that is participant centered that offers resources for low-income families with maternal mental health concerns, prenatal and postpartum transportation barriers, and the inability to provide adequate basic needs for their infant and/or toddler.

Our priorities are families living in poverty, the marginalized, women of diverse backgrounds, who are struggling with perinatal mood concerns or with the adjustment to motherhood. Having basic needs for both infants and toddlers is a huge health inequity that is directly impacting the happiness and well being of caregivers and hindering the family dynamics.  During enrollment, 70.9% of our families report a yearly income of less than $15,000 dollars. 91.3% of participants lack an adequate supply of basic needs for their infant and/or toddler.
