Rochester Animal Services/Verona Street Animal Society

We operate the shelter at 184 Verona Street. Our staff includes animal care technicians, animal control officers, customer service staff. We have 200+ volunteers who perform a variety of animal care and support tasks.

Rochester Animal Services (RAS) is a municipal animal care and control organization whose mission is to serve Rochester’s people and animals to create safe neighborhoods, support the human-animal bond, and save and enhance lives.
