Who We Are
Pet Pride of New York, Incorporated saves the lives of homeless cats and
kittens in our community by providing sanctuary, veterinary care, and
placement into loving adoptive homes. Founded in 1977, our organization has been helping cats in need ever since. Pet Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization and a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, and we
operate a no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center in Victor, New York
which is open to the public.
What We Do
Once a cat is admitted to our sanctuary, he or she stays with us for as long as it takes to find their new home. Pet Pride cats enjoy a clean, safe, and stimulating environment while they await adoption. They are free to roam in the sanctuary and take in fresh air on the cat patios, and they enjoy regular playtime and attention from staff, volunteers, and visitors.
We operate our own veterinary clinic and surgical suite inside our sanctuary, so our cats and kittens receive expert care in a timely fashion with minimal stress. Pet Pride advances the cause of animal welfare in our community by spaying and neutering all cats and kittens in our care and by connecting people with reliable information about responsible cat ownership and other topics relating to the humane treatment of all cats.
