Who We Are

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is the nation’s largest and most influential child protection organization.

We lead the fight against child abduction and exploitation and help safely reunite missing children with their families. 

We provide critical outreach and recovery services to victims of child trafficking, support children who have been victimized through sexual exploitation and support thousands of families who are facing the worst nightmare of their lives.

What We Do

We provide the following services:

  • Free Abduction Prevention, Personal, and Online Safety Education through the delivery of KidSmartz and NetSmartz safety curricula. These safety education programs are provided for youth, parents, professionals, and community groups.   • Missing Child Poster Distribution to targeted areas across the nation based upon investigative leads developed through NCMEC case management work and through local, state, and federal law enforcement investigations. 
  • Law Enforcement Training for those who work cases involving missing or exploited children, or who serve children in other capacities. 
  • Case Management Services to assist law enforcement and families on missing children’s cases across New York State, nationally and internationally.
    Child Victim Identification Program (CVIP) services to help identify and locate children found in images and video of child sexual abuse and exploitation locally, nationwide, and worldwide. 
  • CyberTipline is the centralized reporting system in the U.S. for sexual exploitation online.
