Homesteads for Hope, an inclusive community farm in Rochester, NY, is seeking Corporate Volunteer Groups on Wednesdays throughout the season!

Volunteer teams will support our Farm & Garden Crews alongside youth and young adults with and without disabilities participating in hands-on, work-based learning experiences. Together, we plant and maintain fields of vegetables, herbs, and flowers that are harvested for our Farm Store and Farm Markets — all grown using organic practices.

This is more than volunteering — it’s an opportunity to help cultivate confidence, skills, and belonging through nature-based experiences.

Homesteads for Hope, an inclusive community farm in Rochester, NY, is seeking Individual Volunteers this season!

Volunteer opportunities are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Volunteers work alongside youth and young adults with and without disabilities in our Farm & Gardens, helping plant, maintain, and harvest vegetables, herbs, and flowers for our Farm Store and Farm Markets — all grown using organic practices.

Whether you love gardening, being outdoors, giving back, or simply want to be part of something meaningful, there is a place for you at the farm. Volunteers help create an inclusive community where people can learn, work, grow, and belong together.

Join us for Day of Caring 2026 at Homesteads for Hope Community Farm and help us prepare the farm for an exciting summer season! Volunteers will work together to beautify the farm’s gardens and landscape, helping us plant flowers, spread mulch, and refresh key areas of the property. Depending on the number of volunteers, teams will be divided into several projects such as:

Barn Landscaping – Refresh garden beds around our historic barn Farmhouse Landscaping – Plant flowers and enhance the main entrance areas Sensory Garden Planting – Help expand our accessible garden spaces U-Pick Flower Fields – Assist with planting flowers for our summer bloom season Farm & Garden Tasks – Support planting in our 10+ acres of organically practiced vegetable fields

While volunteering, not only will get you to pet some cutie farm animals, but you’ll also learn about the mission of Homesteads for Hope - a community farm that provides inclusive programs for people with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your efforts help prepare the farm to welcome thousands of visitors each summer for programs, classes, and community events. 

Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
