Volunteer: Volunteers needed for EarthworksWe are currently looking for volunteers to help us with our outdoor education program. We begin with 4yr olds in Forest School and go up through high school. Earthworks is a youth development program offered by The Center for Youth that focuses on 21st Century Skills, experiential learning, STEAM and environmental enrichment, and personal wellness. By partnering with community leaders and educators we develop programs that build healthy, lasting, bonds between land and community. Environmental science, forestry, and education are at the heart of what we do. Earthworks offers the skills and experience to facilitate safe, nature-based programs among diverse groups while helping them to develop skills and experiences that connect youth with their world and each other. You create your own schedule, we are in need of volunteers on Wednesday mornings, 9am-Noon, but we will work with your schedule. The Crisis Nurseries care for babies, toddlers and children up to age 14 when the families are in an emergency/crisis situation. All volunteers must pass a background check, and complete the necessary paperwork prior to volunteering. Orientation and training is provided. Shifts are generally 8am-noon, noon to 4pm, 4pm to 8pm. Sign ups are done online with lots of flexibility to fit YOUR schedule. We are looking for volunteers for all shifts.
