Help the PTA plant the seeds of curiosity at RCSD School 46! We are seeking energetic volunteers to lead the transformation of our preschool grounds into a vibrant, native, and sensory oasis for our PreK-6 grade students. If you love gardening, or don't mind the occasional "audience" of curious preschoolers watching your progress, this is the perfect project for you.
As a Day of Caring volunteer, you are the first part of our garden redesign. By raking out debris and digging out old growth, you are clearing the path for new native and sensory plants to engage our Prek-6th grade community.
We are looking for:
· The Heavy Lifting: You’ll be the "wings" beneath this project, performing the essential raking and digging needed to prep the soil for new life.
· Creating a Buzz: Your hard work paves the way for the PTA to install native plantings that will directly support our school’s Beekeeping Club!
· The Extra Mile: If we finish the preschool garden early, we’ll swoop over to the playground planters or the outdoor classroom to give those spaces a much-needed spring renewal.
By the end of the day, you won't just have cleared a garden; you’ll have built the foundation for a living classroom where children can explore the natural world for years to come.
