Keeping our Great Lakes beaches clean starts with you! Adopt-a-Beach cleanups are a fun, free, easy way to give back to your community and keep plastic pollution out of our Great Lakes. It’s easy to jump right into the Adopt-a-Beach community.
The Alliance for the Great Lakes is a nonpartisan nonprofit working across the Great Lakes region to protect our most precious resource: the fresh, clean, and natural waters of the Great Lakes. We are active in advocacy, volunteering, education, and research.
Each year, through the Adopt-a-Beach program, thousands of volunteers work to keep the Great Lakes shorelines healthy by removing litter from our beaches and collecting important data.
We hope you’ll join us this season as we work to reach our goal of 500,000 pounds of litter removed from Great Lakes shorelines!
Join us on July 10 at Ontario Beach from 10am-12pm for a public cleanup! We will meet near the gazebo on the boardwalk. All needed cleanup supplies will be provided but bringing buckets or personal work gloves is welcomed and encouraged!. Please bring sunscreen and a personal water bottle. We hope to see you there!
