About the Point In Time (PIT) Count:
The purpose of the PIT is to bring more funding to Monroe County from HUD by providing HUD an accurate, reliable count & survey of unsheltered homeless people at a particular point in time. The snapshot gives HUD the ability to see our needs as a community and assess the population’s characteristics to fund best-practice interventions in response to those characteristics.
Logistics for Volunteers:

- Complete a brief online training, on your own time. Training is required to be completed by Jan 24, in order to volunteer.
- Choose your time slot for January 27th!
Shifts:
All shifts are on January 27th, 2022 in Monroe County. After completing the training, you can sign up for one, six-hour shift:
- 5:30PM-12:30AM
- 8:30 pm to 3:00 am
- 12:00AM -7:00AM
