Needs From: Volunteer United

We are in need of volunteer who would love to kick off our new crocheting program. The class will be held once or twice a month. One during the afternoon and one during the evening. We are looking for someone who can start with basic classes and move up to some challenging classes. Orientation of our building will be recommended before start date.

We are looking for a Yoga instructor to volunteer to their time to our members once or twice a month! 

Volunteers would be assisting in organizing and overseeing our food pantry, preparing and assisting with community chefs' meals and for meals of support. 

Volunteers needed for table events to spread cancer awareness. Table events are primarily handing out Cancer Support Community brochures and handing out information about our different programs we offer. These events are usually done on off site locations.

We are looking for volunteers to help in administrative tasks such as handing out FIT kit pickups, cataloging supplies, facility greeter and host, sending out birthday, condolence, and thank you cards. Also, helping out with event set-up and clean up and maintenances around the building. 

We need volunteers who can help our members navigate our website and register for classes. These volunteers will need an orientation before start date.

We need volunteers to help run our playroom during support meetings as well as youth events throughout the year. We are also looking for volunteers for our summer camp in 2025.

Volunteers needed to help with medical education in cancer and support. Preferably looking for active or retired physicians, licensed nurse practitioners and social workers.

Volunteers who would be willing to give time back to the community and join our organization. We are looking for volunteers to help spread Cancer support Community's presence in upstate New York by helping us spread awareness.

We are looking for volunteers who love making jewelry but also love teaching others as well. This class will take place two times a month. Our volunteers will need an orientation at our facility before a start date.
