Volunteer: RSVP Volunteer Transportation CorpsWayne County Action Program, Inc.'s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program need senior volunteers to drive other seniors to medical appointments and/or prescription pick ups. All mileage driven for this purpose is fully reimbursed at the annual federal rate on a monthly basis. Drivers are given advanced notice of the need, generally two weeks or more, and are able to accept or decline any ride opportunities at their own discretion. Wayne County Action Program follows and enforces safety guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocols and drivers are insured by the agency for their vehicle during volunteer transportation to and from medical appointments.
