Needs From: Volunteer United

1. Clean up and remove invasive species throughout the 6 miles of trails

Gear and Attire:  Pruning shears, rakes, gloves and boots recommended

Cracker Box has a number of cleaning projects for volunteers:

1. Wash windows in and out in the barns.  This crew would also be responsible for cleaning and dusting the stall areas: 

Horse Barn

West Barn,

Cow Barn,

Bunny Barn/Museum Barn

Equipment and Attire:   Paper Towels, rags, buckets, gloves.  Cracker would supply the materials to use for cleaning.

The Farm has various painting project that could be worked on during Day of Caring.  Please see the following list of available opportunities:

1.  Run In Sheds for the horses (4) ea

2. New barn doors (4) ea

3. Rabbit Building- porch rail and posts

4. Stain New Wood at stalls in the Horse Barn

Required attire and equipment:  Paint brushes, rollers, trays.   Protective clothes and gloves as needed.   Cracker Box will provide materials.

Cracker Box has several areas of permanent flower beds that need planted and tended to each year.

Volunteers would clean out and prep beds, plant new flowers, and mulch the various areas

Recommended tools and attire:  Gardening tools, gloves, rakes.
