The holidays are almost here—and we’re inviting you to help make the season brighter for local families in need!

Through our Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program, you can provide gifts, warm clothing, or a special holiday meal to a family who could use a little extra cheer this season.

If you’d like to join in, just reply to this posting. We’ll match you with a family and share their wish list.

Indoor Golf – Wednesdays 5-6pm- This program is an inclusive indoor program meant to refine the skills of the participants as well as play some courses during the colder months. Volunteer would aid with setting up the program, placing the ball and tee for the participants, selecting the proper club and ensuring a fun environment!

Bowling- Tuesdays-5-6pm  Bowling program gives a chance to allow participants who don’t normally have the opportunity to play to have fun in a inclusive environment. The volunteer will help participants bowl safely and proper. With certain individuals guide their role down the ramp, as well as ball selection, and again most importantly to have fun!

Pickleball-Mondays-5:00-6:00- A new program that is looking for compassionate and committed volunteers who will help make the game of pickleball accessible and enjoyable for players of all abilities. As a volunteer you will assist with setting up adaptive equipment, provide encouragement and support, ensure safety and create an inclusive and welcoming environment. This takes place at Dinkers, located at 140 Despatch Drive #135 East Rochester, NY 14445

Our Garden Club has become extremely popular! We are looking for people with gardening experience to work alongside our other volunteers to assist the adults in our Day Habilitation program. The group meets on Wednesday mornings and there was so much interest we have wanted to make it year round.  We are also seeking donations of soil, perennials and other gardening supplies. If you are interested in donating you time, knowledge, supplies or all of the above please reach out!

Do you have a special talent you can share? Perhaps you play the guitar or sing? Do you perform magic or tell funny stories? We are always looking for people who are interested in performing and sharing their talents with the individuals that we serve. Our individuals love to have visitors. Come and perform for us, entertain our individuals in either the Preschool or Day Habilitation Program.

Would you like to make a difference in the day of a child with Autism? Our friends at the Happiness House preschool located at the Golisano Autism Center are seeking one or more volunteers. We would like someone to come into our integrated classrooms to soothe and comfort a child who may need a little extra support, even if its just a few hours a week. There are many children that can use the extra support throughout their day. If you like show TLC and have some extra time in your schedule, please reach out.
