Volunteer: Volunteers needed at our Crisis NurseriesThe Crisis Nursery and Owen's House, programs of the Center for Youth, are looking for responsible volunteers, 16yrs and older, to volunteer for a 4 hour shift once a week or once every two weeks in a child care setting. The Crisis Nurseries care for babies, toddlers and children up to age 14 when the families are in an emergency/crisis situation. All volunteers must pass a background check, and complete the necessary paperwork prior to volunteering. Orientation and training is provided. Shifts are generally 8am-12p, 12 to 4pm, 4pm to 8pm. Signups ups are done online with lots of flexibility to fit YOUR schedule. We are looking for volunteers for all shifts. This is perfect for high school students (16 and older) college students, retirees and anyone who loves children. Please email kvosburgh@centerforyouth.net for more information and to get started. By partnering with community leaders and educators we develop programs that build healthy, lasting, bonds between land and community. Environmental science, forestry, and education are at the heart of what we do. Earthworks offers the skills and experience to facilitate safe, nature-based programs among diverse groups while helping them to develop skills and experiences that connect youth with their world and each other. You create your own schedule, we are in need of volunteers on Wednesday mornings, 9am-Noon, but we will work with your schedule.
