We are looking for volunteers and donors who could put together craft kits, with materials and simple straight forward instructions. IDEAS: A make your own picture frame, which could include the unfinished frame, wood and glue, paint, and shellac. Make your own jewelry, the kit could include beads, buttons, thread etc. Decorate your own planters- planter, paint, shellac Make your own puzzle Make your own stationary Decorate your own pillow case kit could include pillow case, and fabric markers Make your own mask Stress ball kit door decorating kits for residentsThese are just some ideas, we welcome YOUR creativity as well! We provide all the apartments with essential goods, including pots and pans, flatware, sheets, towels, etc. We like to keep all the items provided in the individual apartments uniform, and we find the best deals at Wal-Mart, so we are requesting Wal-Mart gift cards to be used specifically for this program. The YWCA is required to provide these essential goods to our residents, but the funding sources are drying up! Perhaps you would like to do this as a group fundraiser? Or a competition?
