St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center provides person-centered comprehensive primary and specialty care, mental health counseling, support services and referrals, healthcare access assistance, and more to individuals and families who are uninsured and under-insured in the greater Rochester area. Established in 1993 as a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph, and becoming an independent nonprofit in 2012, the Center is committed to raising the health status and quality of life of individuals and families in our area. Staffing: 20 full- and part-time employees. Over 80 health care professionals and 25 counselors and social workers, both staff and volunteers. 50 student interns annually from area colleges. Over 80 other lay and professional volunteers. Over 250 volunteers log in an average of 850 hours per month, with a total value of more than $2 million annually.
