Who We Are
Sister Grace Miller founded House of Mercy, Rochester’s largest homeless shelter and food kitchen. Known primarily as a homeless shelter, the House is so much more than that. Essentially, the House is a community that welcomes all, fostering understanding, equality and responsibility while providing mercy, patience, and radical compassion.

Food. Shelter. Clothing. Transportation. Health and Wellness. Social work. Spiritual services. Advocacy assistance. Drop-in emergency services. Every day, all day, in ways big and small, we serve Rochester’s people in need.
