EngAge NNORC is a NY State funded program that serves older adults (60+) in one specific geographical area in Perinton. The purpose is to help older adults age in place--to safely remain as independent as possible in their own homes. Most people prefer to remain in their current home as they age, and we help connect them to appropriate community resources in order to remain safe, secure and socially connected.
A goal of EngAge NNORC is for the older adults to age well. We provide health education presentations as well as about other areas of interest. In addition to our monthly speaker series, we also have social outings and other activities. Balance and fall prevention classes including Tai Chi are also held regularly.
